Tailboard Charters offers guided fishing trips out of Kenosha Harbor for groups looking to experience Lake Michigan salmon and trout fishing. Captain Jeb Kaiser has been charter fishing since 1985 and brings decades of experience, local knowledge, and genuine passion to every trip.
The goal is simple: catch fish, enjoy your time on the water, and create a trip your group will remember. Tailboard Charters is built on repeat customers, with some groups fishing with Captain Jeb for more than 25 years and now bringing the third generation of their families aboard.

What You Can Catch
Lake Michigan offers excellent seasonal fishing for salmon and trout, with each part of the season bringing different opportunities. Tailboard Charters targets Coho Salmon, King Salmon, Lake Trout, Rainbow Trout, and occasional trophy-sized fish throughout the year.
Spring trips typically focus on Coho Salmon, with Lake Trout, Rainbow Trout, and King Salmon also possible. During summer, the fishing transitions toward Lake Trout and King Salmon, with larger trophy Kings often arriving from mid-July through September. In early fall, trips focus on returning mature King Salmon, along with Lake Trout and Rainbow Trout.
Captain Jeb Kaiser has been charter fishing on Lake Michigan since 1985 and purchased the Tailboard in 2001. After recently retiring as a Lieutenant/Paramedic following 25 years with the Palatine Fire Department, Jeb now has more availability to share the Lake Michigan fishing experience with his customers.
Jeb holds a USCG 6-pack license and still maintains his paramedic license, along with numerous other certifications. His background brings a strong focus on safety, preparation, and customer experience to every trip.
